Default Zeros

I need to place a Zero in front of a number, but when i press enter, it goes
away, how can i keep it there?????

Precede your number with a single quote...

'055

....or format your cell as 'Text'.

Or if you truly need a "real" number,
Custom format to the number of digits you'll need.

00000
or
0000
or whatever.
