Maybe you could use conditional formatting to shade the cells?

Say that one of the values you return is "Past Due". You could color
that cell (or row) red, using conditional formatting.

Similarly, if a value you're returning is numeric, like, 120 (as in 120
days past due, or something), you could conditionally format the cells
based upon if that value is greater than or equal certain numbers.
