Default schedule checker

I do league schedules and I need to check them for home and away and how
many games. I want to be able to check a range from A4 to D18 and total
up the 1- and then the -1 and do this for all 8 teams. How can I do
this?

1-2 3-4 5-6 7-8
1-3 2-4 5-7 6-8
4-1 2-5 3-7 8-6

teams -1 1- -2 2- -3 3-
totals 1 2 1 2 1 2
