In trying to publish Excel list to Sharepoint (push from Excel to
Sharepoint), I get the msg "Cannot connect to server at this time. Your list cannot be published". I am able to "pull" the same spreadsheet into Sharepoint, using Create List, Import Spreadsheet. I have done the workaround in KB838703 with same results. Any other suggestions ? This has also been posted to the Sharepoint community site Thanks. |

And I don't mean that smart -- I just know little about SharePoint as we're just starting to implement it at work. Good luck! MP- -- "Learning is a behavior that results from consequences." B.F. 2 things 1) Do you have permission to 'create' lists on the server (Web Designer or above) 2) You simply use the server name (e.g. Companyweb), do not use a specific page. The list is set up in a folder bearing the list name -- HTH Nick Hodge Microsoft MVP - Excel Southampton, England HIS "LeslieR" wrote in message ... Hi Nick --
I'll check access rights to the site, although I think I'm set because I was able to pull a new list into Sharepoint. As to the 2nd comment, I think I want a List of Lists List called "Reports" with link on Quick Launchbar calls a page with the Excel posted lists. If I simply post to the server, how do I see them ? Would the Reports list be set up to view a category of lists (my Excel postings)? Thanks for your help !
