Default Check box help

I need to put some check boxes on a spreed sheet and of course I can place
the box on the sheet, but I don't know how to get the box to work (i.e. for
the check to be placed in the box). I guess I will need to do some type of
programming, which I'm not good at, so is there someone that can help me with
the problem.

What checkboxes did you use? From the Forms toolbar or from the Control
toolbox?

I'm using them from the control toolbox.
For your information, the check box does not have to do anything, link to
anything or be combined with anything. I just need the check to show in the
box to indicate that it has been selected.
