Default sorting two columns' information

I have a spreadsheet with arrival and departure dates and times. I have a
formula that identifies arrivals and departures on a given day (to TRUE and
FALSE which can then be sorted) but I am having trouble combining the arrival
and departure times in order to sort them too. Ideally I would be able to see
any person who arrives or departs on a given day and for this day to be
chronologically sorted. Any ideas?
