How do i make a macro "relative" to cell?
I know I want to make the macro relative, but I can't find the relative button.
I record my macro, hit the tool button and tell it to stop recording. Where do I find the relative button? -- Thanks Very Much! Art Nittskoff |

Art,
The relative button should be on the Stop Recording toolbar, with the stop button. You might have to use View - Toolbars - Customize to reset the Stop Recording toolbar to its factory state. -- Earl Kiosterud www.smokeylake.com/ ------------------------------------------- "Art Nittskoff" wrote in message ... The Relative Reference button is on the Stop Recording toolbar, that
should appear when you start recording a macro. If it doesn't appear, there are instructions in the Excel FAQs here, for getting it back: http://www.contextures.com/xlfaqMac.html#Stop Art Nittskoff wrote: I know I want to make the macro relative, but I can't find the relative button. The relative button is at the right of the recording toolbar, right under the
x close button. It is a toggle and is either absolute or relative. To describe the appearance, when the button is pushed in, or it may look as if it has a lighter blue background, that is the relative recording state. If the button looks flat, or the same color background as the rest of the tool bar, that is the absolute recording state.
