large numbers not losing the end without formatting column
Hi,
i need to be able to open a .csv file in Excel with large numbers and or Leading zeros without having to put a ' single quote in or format the column as text or import using text to columns so that i do not lose the actual/original data i am passing to Excel - is there anyway to do this or fool Excel in the .csv file into thinking the number field is a text field - i have tried inserting a row at the begininng with only text in each column but Excell still looses leading zeros and chops the ends of the numbers? thanks best regards kevin |
