Default Macro's that do more

I currently use macro's on most of my documents which do the basics, such as
copying data and hiding / unhiding rows. However I have heard that it is
possible to create macro's which insert charts into Powerpoint.

Does anyone know of a good guide to this, as I can't find anything on the
standard help menu.
