if convert multiply with 1440 and format as general -- Regards, Peo Sjoblom (No private emails please) "JFSJ" wrote in message ... I have a time number 1:19:00 (One hour and 19 minutes) that I want to convert into minutes (79). How can I do that? TY |

Thank You, It worked perfectly for 1:19:00 but for 10:42:00 it did not work.
Any idea why? "JFSJ" wrote: I have a time number 1:19:00 (One hour and 19 minutes) that I want to convert into minutes (79). How can I do that? TY |

Some additional information. I am determing how much time is available to
star gaze per night. I am doing this by looking at the difference in the end of civil twilight in the evening and the beginning of civil twilight the next morning. This gives me the amount of time available to star gaze on that night. I am looking at Sunday night and the following Saturday night. I then take the two times 10:42:00 and 10:24:00 for example and add them together and divide by 2 to get an average for the week. I now want to convert that average number 10:33:00 to minutes and then multiple by 7 to get the total minutes available. Multiplying by 1440 should work in all cases but it is not. Any ideas as to way? "JFSJ" wrote: Thank You, It worked perfectly for 1:19:00 but for 10:42:00 it did not work. Any idea why? Works for me, if I multiply 10:42:00 with 1440 (10 hours 42 minutes right?)
I get 642 minutes, what do you get? Remember to format as general or else you get a pseudo time format -- Regards, Peo Sjoblom (No private emails please) "JFSJ" wrote in message ...
