If you only want to print/view, you could download the Excel viewer.
Alternatively, without being able to open the files and save as a version prior to 97 you are stuck as the format was changed at that point -- HTH Nick Hodge Microsoft MVP - Excel Southampton, England HIS "ajimmo" wrote in message ...
