how can i create a formula that does this? 0.5 plus or minus 1% where the 0.5 could be entered as a input figure / number (result for this example should read equal 0.51 - 0.49 rounding up or down)

where i have to enter the formula i.e B1 and the data being say 0.5. so would the result end up in the B1 columb??

Hi I have sorted this out, it should of had full stops and not commas =A1+(0.01)&" - "&A1-(0.01) which is what happend if you cut and paste like what i did.
But this formula does not ready do the % calc so i did this
=A2+(A2*1%)&"-"&A2-(A2*1%) but i am now left with a rounding issue, if you put in the 0.5 then i am left with 0.505-0.495 instead of which should read 0.51 (rounding up) and 0.49 (rounding down)

please please Help!!!!!
