Default I need to protect all but one cell in an Excel XP spreadsheet.

I've prepared a complex spread sheet and need to protect it but the user has
to imput infiramtion into one cell. Is there any way to permit this without
using a password?

Select the cell you want to unprotect, right click, click on format cells,
select the protection tab, untick protected. Now click on Tools,
Protection, Protect sheet. You may or may not use a password to protect, and
therefore unprotect, and you do not have to set a password to open the sheet
in protected mode.
