Default How can I remove gestures from Excel 2003?

Yes, the problem is that when I select a range of values to copy and paste,
the slightest movement of the mouse deselects the range and opens a sidebar
that suggests a different action. Then I have to close the sidebar, re-select
the data, copy it and paste it again (being VERY careful to have steady
hand). This happens dozens of times every day, slowing things down
significantly.

Unfortunately, I don't remember how gestures got installed, and I can't find
anything in Control Panel under Excel or elsewhere to remove it.

Maybe my only recourse is to uninstall and re-install Excel from the
original CD?

Do you mean gesture recognition as in..........

computer's ability to respond to gestures: a computer function that
recognizes gestures, especially hand or head movements, as input.

How did they become entered and active?

I did not know Excel had that capability.
