Is there a way to disable the copy option of a protected cell?

I suppose you could uncheck the "Select Locked Cells" option when you protect
the worksheet. If they can't select the cell, tough to copy it. But there's always a way around such things in Excel. In this case, without unprotecting the sheet, they can still select an unlocked cell and then extend the selection to include the locked cell and perform a copy and paste.
