Default How do I stop the cursor from highlighting multiple cells?

Hi,
When I click on a cell usually 4 or 5 get highligted. How do I turn this
off so I can click only on 1 cell in excell?

what version xl do you have????
2003 - try pressing the F8 key.
2007 - may be a bug. some have reported that adjusting the zoom helps some.
