entering 2211. still displays 22.11 instead of 2211.00
I have cells fixed to two decimal places and when I enter 2211. (period) it
displays 22.11 as though the decimal I keyed in doesn't matter. This worked fine in excel 2002, but now in excel 2003 it ignores the decimal keyed in. Any help here |

Hi
Go to Tools|Options|Edit and have a look at the Fixed Decimal option. Uncheck it if necessary. Hope this helps. -- Andy. "strangebob" wrote in message ... Bob
This is "new feature" in Excel 2003. To override the fixed decimals you must enter 2211.0 instead of the previous versions' 2211. If I enter 2211 into a cell formatted for 2 fixed decimal places, the cell shows 2211.00 NOT 22.11 -- Gordon Burgess-Parker Interim Systems and Management Accounting www.gbpcomputing.co.uk |
