Default Function help!!

I am trying to compare 2 worksheets. If a value in worksheet 1 is found in
worksheet 2, I want the final value to come over from worksheet 2.

for example

worksheet 1
a
b
c
d

worksheet 2

c 10
d 20
b 30
a 40

would look like

worksheet 1

a 40
b 30
c 20
d 10

Please help

You want Vlookup, as in:

=vlookup(a1,sheet2!a:b,2,false)
