We are migrating all staff from Novell servers to Windows 2003 servers. I
have someone who is changing the reference/link in the formula bar to show the new location of the linked files. This is the current location: '\\ISD-MGV\SYS\Data\Public\Valueadd\mds\Old Process\old sheets\[CU SELECT.xls]EVM_FINAL_COUNTS'!A2 We are trying to change: '\\ISD-MGV\SYS\Data\Public to '\\domain name\fsroot\Mpr\Msg\MC B2B Training and Marketing followed by the rest of the original path \Valueadd\mds\Old Process\old sheets\[CU SELECT.xls]EVM_FINAL_COUNTS'!A2 They are opening up the workbook, enabling macros and selecting Don't Update for the links. This is a valid location and they are able to use windows explorer to go to that directory and open the file. Are we missing something? |
