Default Favourites

I love this discussion page, but what would make it reqlly great would be if
i could save particular posts to a favourites list that i could come back to
at any time. Alternatively be able to download the post as a pdf for future
reference

This "discussion page" is really just a web based interface for a news
group, and the "posts" you see are messages in a thread in that
newsgroup. You may find an archived copy of everything over in Google
groups, and you may save to your hearts content. Your message is shown below

Most e-mail clients work well as news readers. I've been using
Thunderbird for several years. You can easily save individual posts to
any folder on your computer. Even with a web-based reader, you can
easily highlight messages, then copy and paste into Notepad or Word.
