Default Favourites button - File Open dialog box

Just upgraded to office 2003.
What happened to the Favourites button that used to be on the LHS of the
file open dialog box?

Dear Microsoft. Please consider putting it back.

That left hand side of the File|open (and file|saveas) has been enhanced. You
can put any folder that you want over there--and that folder can contain
shortcuts to other folders.

Do File|Open
Find that folder that you want to add to the left hand side and select it.
then click Tools|Add to my places
