merging spreadsheets
I'm still not clear....could you please give some steps?

A = Item Number, B = Location (each row has the phrase "CH"), C = Quantity, and D = Number of Days (each row has the number "10"). Each of the two spreadsheets has some of the same items in column A. So, I want to merge the spreadsheets into one, add the quantities for column C, and eliminate the duplicates for column A.
