Default excel formatting

how can i change the format of a highlighted range? when i select a range of
cells i want them to show up as highlighted while they are selected. right
now they appear to be maybe one shade darker than the rest of the page and
are not noticeable other than the bold line around the range. this lack of
contrast is a problem when I use the go to special formulas function to
attempt to see all cells which contain formulas. there is no contrast
between the highlighted cells and those that are not.
