Default Excel 2007 Pivot Sorting Not Working

Pivot table contains the following columns:
Item No. / Ord Date / Ord No. / Cust No. / Cust Name / Ord Status / Ord Qty.
The sorting is on Item No., Ord Date and Ord Qty., all ascending. The
sorting on the first two columns seems to be fine, however, the sorting on Ord
Qty does not appear to be working. The tertiary sorting is instead on Ord No.
column.
How can I force the pivot to be sorted by Item, Date and then Qty?
