Default Number format

I formated all numbers in my table as Accounting. When the value is zero (0)
the table displays a - in the cell. But some of the cells display a 0.00 or
a (0.00).

I check the formatting and they are all in Accounting. I even copy the
formatting from one cell to another, but they do not change the way excel
displays the number.

What is happening? The numbers are part of a series of formulas, but with
the exception of a few cells, they all display the zero result as -, which is
what I want.
