i've got two columns of data and i want the first column to be the y axis and
the second column to be the x axis. right now both columns turn up as the x
axis. how do i fix this. i'm using excel 2002, by the way. i'm trying to
make a chart.

also, how do i look at old threads i've started. it's not obvious how to do
this.

The data is not the axis. The data you provide becomes the graph and Excel
will automatically create the axes for you.

Easier to put them the other way round.

If you don't want to do that you'll have to edit the source data for the
series.

Put the reference of the range for your Y data in the place where it says "Y
values"
Put the reference of the range for your X data in the place where it says "X
values"
I assume that you are using an XY chart?
