Default Formatting with imported data

Hi all,
I have imported data into Excel 07 from Access 02/03. There are 2 things I
would like to change.

1. The formatting that imports with the data changes the colour of the Excel
cells.

2. Headings are imported automatically with the data, and I would like the
option of changing this. These headings are dropdowns that allow sorting
choices.

Basically I need the data to import with no headings, and no formatting at
all.

Any help appreciated,
Connie

Default Formatting with imported data

If you export it as a .txt or .csv file there will be no formatting
included.

Also, when you import using the Data Import Wizard, you can choose to
omit the first row (or more).

Hope this helps.

Default Formatting with imported data

Hi Pete,

Thanks for your response. I am importing data from Access into Excel 2007,
(not exporting). There doesn't seem to be a way to preset the settings to
always omit headings. Also it imports a ton of formatting with the data...ie:
the cells are coloured, the heading are dropdowns etc. The spreadsheet that
that I'm importing into is an invoice that already has the desired
formatting, therefore, I just need the plain data.

If you can help, it will be much appreciated.
