My task is to explore how one might accomplish the following. Assume there
exists a fancy piece of software that talks XMLA. It is able to produce a data cube. The data cube is to be sent over a wire for consumption and display by Microsoft Excel. Ideally, there will be a pivot table display of one aspect of the data cube. The end user will be able to use Microsoft Excel to view and modify the data cube. Eventually, the data cube, as modified, is to be sent back to the fancy software over a wire. Is this possible? How? -- William McIlroy |
