Default shared files problems

I have a file I share with some other people. I have it open almost all the
time. Used to be when other people wanted into it, they could open a
read-only copy. Then my hard drive blew up, and after fixing it, now they
get an error message about not being able to open it. What do I change to
get it back the way it was?

Thanks

how are they trying to open it? If it was a shortcut, then the link is gone
and they need to re-connect to your computer.
