Default Default format of cell comments

When I create a comment against a cell, it seems that the default formatting
is Dont move or size with cells. This causes many problems when I hide
columns, so I need to change this to Move but dont size with cells.

Cannot seem to find how to change the "default." Can anyone help?

I don't think you can change any of those defaults.

But you could have a macro that changes the setting after the fact.

Debra Dalgleish has tons of sample code:

If you're new to macros:

Debra Dalgleish has some notes how to implement macros he
http://www.contextures.com/xlvba01.html

David McRitchie has an intro to macros:
http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/getstarted.htm

Ron de Bruin's intro to macros:
http://www.rondebruin.nl/code.htm

(General, Regular and Standard modules all describe the same thing.)

Hi Al,

"Insert - Comment" to produce a text box.
