Default Look Up a number

Hi
Is there anyway following can be accomplished?
If I type the last name, the serial numer that goes with the name will be
copied from a drop down list? E. G. If I type Pharr, in the next column 75039
will pop up?

Try the below with Pharr in cell A1

=vlookup(A1,E:G,2,0)
