I have strange problems with conditional formattig that are inconsistent. I
have an excel file template with a lot of conditional formatting where conditions are set all within a single column (where a cell changes background color depending on its own value or another cell nearby in that same column). If I copy one of the coulmns, sometimes the conditional formatting works and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes the conditional formatting rules did copy, but they are not working (calculations are turned on). Sometimes the conditional formats don't copy at all (during normal insert copied cells nothing special) but sometimes the conditional formats copy fine. Sometimes the conditional formats copy but don't change their reference cells appropriately (if relative references they copy but stay referenced to the original (still relative not locked)). This has some consistency that it happens when I run the same macro twice to do the copying - it works fine the first time, but not 2nd, 3rd, etc. The macro turns off the calculations for part of it but it turns it back on at the end of a cycle, but like I said it works fine the first time. Any help in trouble shooting would be appreciated. |
