Default formulas, if/then

Is there a way to set up a worksheet so that if a condition is met in a cell
then a formula will be performed in another?

Ex.: If, in A1, the data is equal to 1, then a formula in B1 will be
performed.

Well, you can have the formula in B1 say:

=IF(A1=1,your formula,"")
