The calculation is in the Access Query. "smartin" wrote: toby131 wrote: I am importing an access query into an excel spreadsheet. The query has about 30 fields that work fine. I added a calculated field to the query and refreshed the data in excel. The field name shows up, but all the records are blank. In access the field is working fine. Any suggestions on how to troubleshot this problem? Thanks! Do you mean you added a calculated field in the Access query itself, or you added a column with a calculation in the worksheet? If the former, where is the calculation? In MSQuery or in Access? . Ok thanks for the clarification. Sorry I can't really think of a reason why a field would look fine in Access but not upon import to Excel. It might be interesting to check MSQuery (I assume you are using that as an intermediary) to see if the result column appears there. Either way, I would try rebuilding the external data query. |
