Default Row height looks good but when I save the file &go to print it hgt

I cannot seem to figure out row height. I will select the spreadsheet and
set row height to autofit - some rows will work and others will just give me
one line when there are several in one of the cells. I will then drag the
row to the right height, save the file but when I go print it the row is back
to one line. How can I control the row height?
