Default Password protected and shared workbook

Hi,

I protected an excel file and shared it with a few users, now i have
forgotten the password, is there away to recover or remove the password.

FYI i tried the macro which is available to unprotect the sheet, it didnt
help, since the workbook is protected and shared.

I appreciate any help i can get.

thanks
david
