Default Formulas in drop boxes

Hi there I am new to the community, but I hope to ask questions here often! I
have one problem with Excel that has stumped me for sometime now. Every time
I try to add a formula to my drop box it won't allow it, I believe my
formulas are correct but still nothing. Is there any reason why it won't let
me add a formula into my drop box? Thanks in advanced for any help.

Can you please explain what formula you are using and what data you are
looking to return? where is the data is lying and where you are trying to put
the formula?

Prove some more details.

Basically I am trying to use an =IF formula...stating in my drop box that IF
"Sold" is chosen in my drop box than "Sold" shows up in my contract
worksheet, etc.

Perhaps instead of a Dropbox, you use Data Validation and a List. Then
in your "contract worksheet" reference the Cell with Data Validation.

Say A1 on Sheet 1 picks from the items in C1:C3, then on the Contract
Sheet put =A1.
