Lately, when I enter formula for a vertical lookup, it will only show me the
formula instead of the results. What am I doing wrong? example formula entered: =VLOOKUP(A2,'ICD9 Codes'!A:C,3,0) only reflects: =VLOOKUP(A2,'ICD9 Codes'!A:C,3,0) rather than results |

You might also have the cell formatted as text. Change the format to
general. You'll probably also have to force the cell to re-evaluate (click on it and hit return should do it). Will "L. Howard Kittle" wrote: Might be... Do you have the 2007 version? I couldn't figure out exactly where to go with
your directions. I have 2007. I selected Data Tools, then text to columns, I selected the delimited option and this corrected the issue. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! "L. Your original proble was that the cells were formatted as
Text..........hence the formulas showing. Your trip through DataText to Columns changed the formatting to General and in essence, re-entered the formulas.
