When trying to analyze raw data, I have multiple instances of clients and
want the pivot table to count clients rather than count each instance. Example: AAAA-1 AAAA-1 BBBB-1 CCCC-1 CCCC-1 I want the pivot table to return 3 clients, not 5. |

Hi, you could use this formula, property of T. Valko instead of a pivot table:
=SUMPRODUCT((A1:A50<"")/COUNTIF(A1:A50,A1:A50&"")) -- Alex *Remember to click "yes" if this post helped you. Thank you!
