Default Save as default Excel 2007

Hi - I've set my default 'save as' location as my s:\ (network) drive, by
going to Excel Options, Save, Default. But when I save files it keeps going
to 'my documents.' ARG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Nancy,
it this happening only for the network drive or even for any other location
on your hard drive?

ANY drive other than the My Documents directory (network & hard).

Default Save as default Excel 2007

can you check the value DefaultPath in registry entry in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\E xcel\Options
or could be in 11.0\Excel\Options
and see if it is "S:\"

other than that i'm not sure why this might be happening.
i don't use 2007 so i can't test much.
