I'm a math teacher and have been using Excel to make multiple versions of the
same tests. When the math problems are simple it is easy to sort the question/answer pairs and print off different versions of tests. What I want to do is go one step further, and be able to have more complex mathematical graphics in the cells that I sort. Specifically, I need to be able to write and show superscripted exponents, and also fractions with horizontal rather than diagonal lines between the numerator and denominator. MS Word allows superscripted exponents, but the problem then becomes that the answers are not easy to calculate automatically as in Excel. If need be, is it possible to sort images (e.g. from Paint) instead of actual text? Or is there a way in Excel to present superscripted text and "hi/lo" fractions within unmerged, sortable cells in this way? Thanks! |
