Default Auto Fill a column

hi bean, try this
assuming you are using column a & b and data is starting from row no. 2,
in cell c2 type the following equation :
= a2
and in cell c3
=if(a3="",b2,c3) ........... copy down the formula as per your requirement

click yes below if it helps
