Default Excel sorting logic

Hi,
Is it safe to assume that when a sheet of 5 col and say 50 rows, and you
sort by col two, the rows with the save value to col 2 (now together) will be
in the same order as the orginal sheet

Are you asking if the sorting will reorder the fields that aren't used as keys?

Then the answer is no. Excel will keep those non-key fields in the same order
as before the sort. Try a few experiments and you should be able to convince
yourself.
