When entering a decimal number, SOMETIMES Excel interprets it as a date -

2.7 ----2 july
just to make sure Excel uses comma for the decimal separator 2,7 gives the same result "David Biddulph" <groups [at] biddulph.org.uk wrote in message ... Might be worth looking at your Windows Regional Options (in Control Panel).
