I would visit the Adobe site and download the latest and greatest version of
Reader and reinstall it. jake wrote: Yes. Acrobat Reader 9.1. I was not sure if the registered file types in Windows Explorer had anyhting to do with this so I checked and the PDF and PDFX files are registered to Acrobat Reader 9.1. Other computers are able to open these .PDF files using the hyperlink, but my computer no longer will open them. There are two messages that appear when I click a hyperlink. The first line of the first message message says "Opening" with the path the file being opened. Below that "Some files can contain viruses or otherwise be harmful to your computer. It is important to be certain that this file is from a trustworthy source". Then "Would you like to open this file?" When you click "OK" another message pops up "No program is registered to open this file." I am running XP Pro and Excel 2007 and have been able to open these files in the past. Any suggestions as to why the hyperlink is no longer working? -- Dave Peterson |
