Default Paste cells copied from another sheet

I have a downloaded report that has dollars in each cell. For some reason,
they downloaded with an apostrophe before each number as '$7.50. How do I
copy and paste a column of these numbers and get rid of the ' at the
beginning of each number?

It all depends on what those ' apostrophies really are.

One option is to choose Edit, Replace and enter ' in the Find what box and
nothing in the Replace with box and click Replace All.

Another option is to copy an empty cell, select all the dollar cells and
choose Edit, Paste Special, Add.

there are other options if theres don't work.
