Default Formula

I want to enter a formula that draws totals from another spreadsheet (which I
can do, so far). Now the tricky part, I don't want it to enter that number
until a specific date. Ex. 2008/2009 2nd Quarter total does not show up in
the new spreadsheet until the end of the 2009/2010 - 2nd Quarter (Sept 30 or
Oct 1).

Maybe something like this, in say Sheet1's E2:
=IF(TODAY()<--"1 Oct 2009","",SUM(Sheet2!A1:B1))

Replace: SUM(Sheet2!A1:B1)
with your formula

This front part of the IF:
=IF(TODAY()<--"1 Oct 2009","", ...
will ensure that "nothing happens" until 1 Oct 2009
