Default Can't make excel do what i want...

Hello, I am trying to call data from two separate areas to be represented in
one column for recap. I want to call A1 and C1 into the cell to appear as A1
- C1 with no calculations just the data in each cell represented with a dash
in between. Is that possible?

Do you mean; formula

=A1 & "-" & C1
