Default Excel 2007 links - update prompt

In excel 2003 I used to get a pop-up box asking me if I wanted to update
links to other excel files or not. I just switched to 2007 and I do get the
Security Warning in the status bar stating that Automatic update of links has
been disabled. Is that the new version of asking if I want to update links
or not?
I've gone to the excel options / advanced and selected the box "Ask to
update automatic links"

You should have a look at excel options, trust center parameters.
