Default the weeknum function in excel seems to suggest flexible day 1 of w

Suggests 1 for sunday 2 for monday, but does not accept say 6 for friday....

Our Kleeneze week starts on a Friday so why cant we just enter 6 as the
return type and let excel calculate Kleeneze Weeknumbers please.

I am sure we are not totally unique in having strange first days of the
week,,,,, or are we?

It's not uncommon, but most of the world uses Monday or Sunday.

You can calculate your own weeknum formula:

=INT((A2-DATEVALUE("12/26/2008"))/7)+1

will work to give a Friday based weeknum for 2009.
